We are so excited that you are considering joining a sorority as part of your experience at USD
Sorority membership is both a gift and a challenge. The gift: finding a sisterhood, having a home away from home, learning leadership skills, feeling a sense of belonging, discovering your purpose, and growing more than you ever thought possible. The challenge: deciding to live by shared values not only while in college, but for the rest of your life, and showing up for your sisters during the highs and the lows.
The University of San Diego offers many different sorority membership experiences:
Includes seven sororities on campus: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Pi Beta Phi. All seven sororities participate in January primary recruitment. Each semester, different sororities may also be able to host informal recruitment or COB.
Includes two sororities on campus: Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Inc. (Latina) and Asian Interest Sorority Group. MGC sororities don't participate in primary recruitment but have their own joining processes in the first few weeks of each semester.
Includes four historically Black sororities city-wide: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. NPHC sororities don't participate in primary recruitment, but have their own joining processes each year. Click here to learn more about NPHC at USD and in San Diego.
We encourage you to visit the USD Fraternity & Sorority Life website for more information about all of our sorority chapters, community values, and joining processes.
If you would like to participate in the 2025 Panhellenic primary recruitment, you are in the right place!
